Welcome to another exciting season of Jewish film!
The Buffalo International Jewish Film Festival is the second oldest,
continuously-running annual festival of its kind in America. Last year’s Film
Festival, held at the Dipson Amherst Theater and the Market Arcade Film
and Arts Centre, was a huge success. This year we include a third venue, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
The 2007 Festival marks our 22nd presentation of award-winning features
and documentaries. Our program includes a multicultural mosaic of Jewish life from Tel Aviv to Paris to Montevideo. The films probe the mysteries behind stolen artworks, secret codes, and hidden identities, and ponder conflicts with historical enemies, social displacement, and forbidden love. Above all, this year’s films invite you to engage in the ongoing debate over Jewish identity and “What is a Jew?”
The 2007 Film Festival Committee thanks you, our dedicated audience.
Without your support and patronage, the Buffalo International Jewish Film
Festival would not exist. Please spread the word and let’s keep our Buffalo Jewish Film Festival growing! See you at the movies!
